Tag-teaming, anyone?

I am seriously considering the option of doing the one thing that I always promised myself that I would not do: Drop out of college.

This consideration has absolutely nothing to do with the difficulty of college - in fact, it has been incredibly easy and stress-free so far. I've made a few friends, and everything is going great. So why do I want to drop out?

The answer is simple. My childhood dream was never to be an accountant. I ALWAYS wanted to be a truck driver like my aunt. She was always so free, and she got to see so much of the world....it's incredible what a truck driver gets to experience on a daily basis.

Soooo...Gary (who also wants to be a truck driver) and I are considering dropping out of school to become truck drivers. Will we find the guts to go against everyone who will be sure to tell us that we are crazy...our family, friends, and whatnot?

If we did decide to go through with this, then we would do it as a married couple, happily tag-teaming across the country.

It's so romantic, and so inspiring of an idea that we might actually go through with it.

I sure hope so.

Yeah, it sounds romantic and free...very fun, too, unless you get hooked on crack to meet the demands of a particularly long haul...aside from that :P....

I have to caution you not to put all your eggs in one basket. I would advise either finishing college or maybe acquiring a trade or something before becoming a trucker right off the bat like that. I'm not saying your dream is stupid--on the contrary it does sound like fun (but I'm pretty sure if I ever tried to drive a semi, people would die).

I'm just cautioning you not to do anything to quickly and without thinking everything COMPLETELY THROUGH UNTIL EVERY SITUATION HAS BEEN RUN INTO THE GROUND.

...and if you find that being a trucker is what you want, then you have my blessing (as if you need it :P) and good luck!!
